Pierre Damien Habumuremyi (born 21 February 1961) is a Rwandan politician who serves as the Prime Minister of Rwanda since 7 October 2011.[1] He previously served as education minister.

Pierre Damien Habumuremyi was born in 1961 at a place called gashaki in ruhengeri where he has his father and mother,he graduated in lubumbasha,and got his masters from france and his PHD also and meanwhile he has 5 children and is a married man. He worked as the executive secretary of the NEC for four years and became a deputy in the EALA member of east Africa where he was elected by parliament in 2008 and he started doing his doctorate while working and after 4 years of work he was appointed minister of education by the current president of Rwanda in 2011 where he carried his duties for only 4 months and got his doctorate before he was appointed prime minister of the republic of RWANDA in the same year which is a sign of great work and he is considered to be among the most educated people if not the first in Rwanda.
